“A truly inspiring story, Robert Barsanti is a 23-year-old kid searching for the best way to show us how eloquent and fragile the experience of life can be for an up-and-coming prodigy. His flashes of brilliance include spiral notebooks filled with incomprehensible equations searching for the answer to life (42), stories of mutant zombie high school teachers attacking the lesser students in the class (he was clearly at the top of his), and transcriptions of the latest discovery of ancient literature (originally composed in a dead language). With his charismatic voice and smile, this boy wonder will certainly win the hearts of his people as he explores the precious joy of every moment, balancing it with the overwhelming power and beauty of the world around us.”
-Nobody Ever
But really, I am 23-years-old and live in Playa Vista, CA, just minutes south of Venice Beach, which, aside from San Francisco, might be the great area in the state, if not the West Coast, if not the universe.
I graduated from the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts and the Wilkinson College of Humanities at Chapman University in 2012 with a dual degree in Screenwriting and English Literature.
I grew up in Morgan Hill, just an hour south of Downtown San Francisco, and played sports, played guitar, and played Monopoly. I really liked Monopoly.
Known for rapping at school liturgies and pop-punk guitar, I was as renaissance man as they come – and still am.
Since college I’ve worked with the Vans Warped Tour, a brand consulting firm called unknownlab, Netflix, Ska Parade Radio, and Chapman University, all while continuing to write, create music, and play the occasional video game.
My passions are in writing, sports, film, music, and advertising. I’m also into reading, fishing, snowboarding, boating, traveling, concerts, and lawn games. Bocce ball, all the way.
So shoot me an e-mail, a Facebook message, a Twitter dm, or come find me in Playa Vista. I’m enthusiastic, charismatic, and passionate about what I do and what I want to do. Now…lets go to work.
Oh, and I really did write a story about mutant zombie high school teachers. In 7th Grade. I’ll let you read it sometime.
